In a letter to head coach Wim Rijsbergen and manager Sam Phillip on Tuesday from Switzerland, Warner stated “This is one of those occasions where, in my various football capacities, I take the greatest pleasure in congratulating the senior national team on their win vs Haiti yesterday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on the occasion of the mini tournament in celebration of Digicel’s first anniversary as a telecommunications service provider in Trinidad and Tobago . The victory is significant for several reasons, none of which will be enunciated at this time. Suffice it to say, from all reports, the guys, under the fine leadership of young Densill Theobold did an excellent job in their victory over the other Caribbean powerhouse
