ISPORTS COMMENTARY FOR TUESDAY 15TH MAY, 2007

 COACH WIM  SEEKS PAYMENT FOR HIS STAFF AND TO PICK THE BEST TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

=====================================================

How many of us will work for free.?

Worse, how many of us, will work without any remuneration for nearly three (3) months.

National Football Coach Wim Rijsbergen is in such a position at the moment.  He revealed all of this on I-Sports Saturday this weekend.

Also, it was disclosed on the same programme that the local members of the National Football Team training division, have not been paid for the last seven months.

This is all disrespectful and totally unfair, and it speaks volumes for the integrity of the Football Federation, the Government and Corporate Trinidad and Tobago.

Then there is the question of the so called black listed players.

If you make promises, you should keep them at all times.

Whatever the Government gave the players and Team Officials has nothing to do with commitments made.

Football is a professional sport, and the people involved in the Sport must be professional in their  behaviour.

The Professionalism of Coach Wim is now clear, his mind is made up, and he spoke of the team spirit among the Under 17.He also spoke of the need to improve the level of coaching in the Country, which we all know is time.

His praise for Anton Corneal is also another indication, that he is looking towards the future.

I am afraid, though that this interview confirmed what we already knew that Oliver Camps is a figurehead, as it seems ,Richard Groden and Jack Warner control football, we should  though be careful because we could soon lose a good man in Coach Wim, if we are not careful .

The Government also need to speak out honestly on this issue, and let us know if they held back the payments because of doubts over the salaried contracts presented to them.

This is Andre Errol Baptiste saying , have no fear , the Fearless One is here
