Caribs,Harvard and Rainbow register Sportflex victories

Caribs ,Harvard and Rainbow all registered victories
in the TTRFU Sportflex Championship division rugby
league competition.

On Saturday, Rainbow Sport and Cultural Club traveled
from their Marabella base to Port.of.Spain,and came
away with a 27/nil win over Royalians.

Over at the President's Grounds St Anns,Caribs
defeated Police 78/8 in the first Game of a double
header.

In the second game Harvard prevailed over Defence
Force 34/12.

TTRFU Fixtures committee chairman Leslie Figaro
commended the clubs,players,coaches and referees.

"There were well publicized Independence week end
challenges but it is a credit to the tenacity and
resilience of the rugby fraternity, and the collective
passion for the game that rugby was played and played
in an excellent spirit".

Looking ahead to the remainder of the 2007 rugby
season.Figaro predicted that the Independence day
weekend would prove to be a positive turning point.
