BRIAN LARA ENTERTAINS CROWD IN PAKISTAN

Lara entertains crowd with stroke play

LAHORE, Nov 9 (APP)- West Indies captain, Brian Lara entertained a big gathering with his usual aggressive stroke play not in the two-day practice match against Patrons XI but in an exclusive practice batting session here on Thursday at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.

Lara took the crease as soon as the match was over before 14.3 overs due to fading lights. West Indies bowlers one after another bowled different deliveries which Lara pulled, drove and cut with astute planning and remarkable confidence.

The crowd standing out side the fence of the Bagh-e- Jinnah ground cheered stroke play of the world's finest batsman who pulled the ball with authority sending it out of the ground on some occasions.

" It was a memorable scene to bat Lara in his usual natural manner and though he did not come for batting but we are greatly entertained with his mighty shots" ,said a bench of spectators who specially came to see Lara's batting.

The crowd gave generous applaud when Lara hit successive sixes.
