DAWYNE BRAVO TALKS ABOUT CENTURY

Century maker Bravo hopes to maintain form in test matches

LAHORE, Nov 9 (APP): West Indies century maker batsman, Dwayne Bravo in a 2-day drawn game against Patrons XI hopes to maintain his form in the test series against Pakistan.

"It is good to score a century ahead of the series and I am very confident to continue the same form", he told reporters after the match here on Thursday at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.

Bravo said scoring a century always creates a memorable feeling and he is delighted to hit a useful knock.

Answering a question, he said the series against Pakistan will be tough and challenging for his side because of talented players in the ranks of Pakistan team.

"It is going to a tough encounter for us which demands our best performance and we look forward to a challenging task with courage", he said.

He said Lara did not come for batting as he wanted to give chance to younger players to get useful practice before the test series and it was a good chance for them to warm up for the coming assignment.

Responding to a question, he said his dream is to become a all rounder and he was gradually getting into the role of an all rounder.

"It is not a easy task to achieve, I have to go a long way and I have to put in a lot of hard work to see my dream coming true", he added.

Patrons XI captain Asim Kamal said the match helped three players to get back into the form. " Salman Butt, Yasir Hameed played good knocks besides paceman Shahid Nazir bowled well and they are now in run for selection for the test series", he said.

He said Pakistan team is a tough opponent in the test series against West Indies and the absence of banned bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Muhammad Asif will be a setback for it.

"I anticipate a very interesting series because worlds two best sides will be in the field", he said.

Shahid Nazir said he believes to get a place in the team in the test matches and said he would do his best to justify his place in the team.

"It is a reality that we will be without our main striker bowlers (Shoaib and Asif) but I will be doing my best to fil the gap", he said
